Day 2 of New Teacher Orientation was a success!!
The day began with another spirited welcome from the BMS cheerleaders and our amazing drum line! Shout Out to El Jacalito's for a yummy breakfast! New teachers then learned about ATPE-the leading educators’ association in Texas. ATPE exists to serve the needs of Texas teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators and all public education employees and fights for our schools on the local, state and national levels. Teachers also won prizes! Thank you to Mr. Milner and Mr. & Mrs. Payne!
Next up, NT's went on a tour of our Bandera ISD community in one of our BISD buses driven by our very own Transportation Director, Mr. Biedermann! Teachers were driven to each campus and we had a full tour of Bandera, pointing out great places to eat, businesses who support our teachers & students, as well as historical, fun facts about our community!
Lastly, we wrapped up everything with a wonderful lunch by Bandera United Methodist Church and received goodies from the Bandera County Retired Teachers Association. After lunch, teachers reported back to their new campuses where they met up with campus leads!
