Mrs. Schaffner, a small town native, received her teaching degree from the University of Phoenix in 2013. Since then, she has focused strongly on Mathematics and Science in both the public and private school arenas. In 2019 Angela relocated to the Bandera area, and began teaching 4th grade at Hill Country Elementary School in 2020. Mrs. Schaffner has been a strong and talented teacher, a trusted colleague, and an active member of the HCE Academic Learning Response Team (ALRT).
Angela has a great personality, and believes strongly in the relationships she builds with her students, believing those relationships help close learning gaps and develop pathways to success. Angela loves the Bandera ISD Family feeling, and is grateful for the opportunity to assist and support her colleagues across the district. Angela joins a strong team of dedicated Curriculum and Instruction staff that are ready to add Angela’s strengths into the BISD academic support plan.
Bandera ISD leadership believes that Angela is a strong example of a campus leader, and will be able to quickly utilize her skills to build relationships among teaching staff, and define clear pathways to strengthen student instruction. Mr. Bitzkie, BISD Superintendent, states that he is extremely excited to see Mrs. Schaffner in action, and could not be happier with the committee’s selection.
