Welcome Back Letter from Superintendent, Mr. Bitzkie

Dear Bandera ISD Families,

On behalf of the BISD Board of Education and all of us who work with your children, I wish to extend to you a heartfelt welcome back for the 2022-2023 school year. I especially want to welcome our families who are new to our district. Our vision is to be a small-town district creating a worldwide impact. We believe that in order to be impactful we need to have a successful academic culture. In order for this to happen we have made it a priority to ensure that added safety measures have been put in place so that both teaching and learning can take place at its highest level.

Our teachers and staff have been working hard to ensure your child has a successful start to the school year.  They have been engaged in all forms of professional development and specialized trainings over the summer so they can properly equip their students with the necessary skills for academic success. As your Superintendent, I am looking forward to continued growth and learning this school year. I expect great things from both staff and students!

I feel very strongly about being able to be in the schools on a regular basis connecting with students and teachers. I am excited to be able to engage with parents and community members in the coming school year. I look forward to hearing from and sharing with you any and all questions and concerns that arise with the best interests of our students in mind.

I thank you in advance for your continued support as we work together to help our youth achieve academic success.

Wishing you all the best for an outstanding school year,
